She Is survived by one daughter, Marleen (Ken) Meek, of Leduc; two grandsons, Wayne and Kelly; two brothers, Neal (Naomi) Blackburn, of London, Ontario, Ford (Marion) Blackburn, of Calgary; two sisters, Opal Floyd, of Rancon, Georgia and Nela (Ron) Smith, of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. it is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the loss of Mel on October 12, 1992. He passed away in an atmosphere of love surrounded by family and friends. Born January 14, 1954 in Rose Blanche, Newfoundland, Mel was raised. Later he attended Memorial University in St. John's obtaining a teaching degree specializing in Special Education.

After teaching in Newfoundland, Mel moved to Edmonton in 1980 and continued teaching with the Edmonton Public School Board (Brightview, Tipaskin and Bisset Schools). Over the years, hundreds of children have been fortunate to have been touched by the special teaching skills Mel shared with them. Among Mel's many joys and accomplishments, he was awarded an Excellence in Teaching Award and was Canada's 1982 Florist of the Year. He will be remembered for his quiet and caring ways as well as his devotion to 'his' children. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered by his family in Newfoundland, his parents Ralph and Ada Parsons, brothers Roy (Winnie); Alex; Jackie (Elizabeth); Mark; sister Rosanna of Edmonton; grandfather Anderson and many uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces.

Mel will also be greatly missed and forever remembered by his family here, his best friend and companion, Ken Linkiewich; Joe and Emily Linkiewich; Lloyd and Tracy Linkiewich; Tony, Sharon, Jason, Jayme and Jennifer Stadnyk; devoted friend Monica Donadt; and his dog Ivory. A Service of Remembrance will be held Thursday, October 15, 1992 at 9:15 a.m. at the Muttart Conservatory with Reverend Roman Szewczyk officiating. Gerdharda (Margaret) Postman of Edmonton, went to be with her Lord at the age of 81 years. She is survived by two sons, Vernon and his wife, Alida of Port Coquitlam, B.C., Arnold of Kitimat, B.C.; three daughters, Evelyn and her husband, Bert Konynenbelt of Sylvan Lake, Laverne and her husband, Gary Huising of St. Albert, Dianna Letourneau of Kitimat, B.C.; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Albert and his wife, Lucy Messelink of Edmonton; two sisters, Jo and her husband, Checks Winkelaarof Edmonton, Lil Messelink of Edmonton. Mrs. Postman was predeceased by her husband, John Postman on September 8, 1992 and by a daughter-in-law, Annette Postman in 1992.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Trinity Christian Reformed Church, 13427 57 Street. George Bruce of Edmonton, formerly of Peace River and Athabasca, Alberta passed away at the age of 85 years 11 months. CETINSKI, Magdalena On October 9, 1992, Mrs. Magdalena Cetinski of Edmonton passed away at the age of 78 years. She is survived by two sons, Ace (Irene) Cetinski of Sherwood Park and Paul (Jeannie) Cetinski of Edmonton; five grandchildren, Marie, Michael, Paul Nadine and Julie. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Adolf in 1990; her infant sister, Medisa; and her sister-in-law, Lasha Dezman. CORLESS, Jack Jack Corless of Campbell River, B.C. passed away on October 11, 1992 in Campbell River at the age of 71 years. Mr. Corless was a veteran of World War Two, served with the R.A.F. and the R.C.A.F., and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Bonnyville and St.

Paul, Alberta and Campbell River, B.C. He was a Boy Scout Leader in the Colwood-Victoria area from 1948 to 1950, also Centralia and region in Ontario and Cold Lake, Alberta, and a member of the Lions Club in Bonnyville, Alberta. Obituaries 26 MONTPETIT, Duane Leonard On October 10, 1992 Duane Montpetlt of Legal, Alberta passed away suddenly at 39 years.

He is survived by his loving wife Cecils, one daughter, Leanne and two sons; Michael and Henry; also by his parents, Henry and Patricia Montpetlt; two sisters Mickey Young and Lucy Thompson, and her husband Rick, two brothers Martin and his wife Bernice, and Jim and his wife Anne, and his grandmother Lucia; numerous nieces, and nephews and many friends and relatives. A lifelong resident of Legal, Duane born February 12, 1953, graduated from Legal School, became a journeyman pipefitter, and also went into partnership farming with his brother Martin. Duane married Cecile Proulx in 1973, and soon after moved back to the family farm in the Fairydell area of Legal. Duane will be remembered for many reasons. He was a loyal member of his church, was deeply devoted to his family, community, and the family farm.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Legal, a valued member of a mixed fastball team, a skilled curler, and a helping neighbor. He was an active parent and coach who took a keen interest in his children's activities and was proud of their accomplishments. Duane's love of life was reflected on the people around him and we will miss him dearly. Prayers will be on Wednesday, October 14, 8:00 p.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, October 15, 1992, at 10:30 a.m. both at St.

Emile Catholic Church in Legal, Reverend Real Levasseur celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. MOORE, Elsie On Monday, October 12, 1992, Mrs. Elsie Moore of Edmonton passed away at the age of 69 years.

She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Harold, her loving children, one daughter Barbara (Clayton) Oberg of Calgary, two sons, Dennis R. and Gerald (Faye) of Edmonton and her granddaughter Amanda Oberg of Calgary. Mrs. Moore is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews in England and Australia as well as her two sisters-in-law Bessie Gee and Margaret Mellor both of Manchester, England and was predeceased by her sister Alice Freeman and her brother Walter Gee. NENZEL, S.A. Sister Clare Marie On October 12, 1992 Sister Clare Marie Nenzel, in her 94th year, passed away peacefully at the Grey Nuns' Hospital, Millwoods. Sister was born Mary Clara Nenzel on October 31, 1898 in Nenzel, Nebraska. She came from a large family with many priests and religious, herself becoming a member of the Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement, Graymoor, Garrison, New York in 1925. Since then she had been involved in hospitality services, parish ministries and social services both in Canada and the U.S.

Sister was one of the pioneers in parish ministry to the people of Smoky Lake, Alberta. Her caring presence was also felt through her ministry at Our Lady of the Atonement Home, Edmonton, Alberta. For the past 17 years, Sister was in retirement. She is survived by the members of her religious community; two sisters, Sr. Mary Ambrose (Agnes) of Bruno, Saskatchewan, Rose Brown of Duck Lake, Saskatchewan; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.

Sister Clare Marie was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Anna, and four sisters and five brothers, Margaret, Anna, Catherine, Julia, Rudolph, Lawrence, Aloysius, Albert and George. Janet was predeceased by her husband, Ford (W.A.) Mallett in November 1990. Jan will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Ford and Ryan Mallett and Lindsay and David Baker. She remained very close to her brother, Harry and his wife, Marie Miles of Edmonton, Greig Miles of Edmonton and Val Stibbard of Calgary. She was close to her other nieces and nephews as well. Jan was born in Edmonton and remained there until her marriage to Ford in 1943.

After their move to Calgary, Jan worked together with Ford in establishing Mallett Contracting. Jan endeared herself to many of the people she met both through Ford's business and social commitments and through her active involvement in the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile. For many years she enjoyed both golfing and bridge with the ladies from Lakeview. Jan will be remembered for her generosity and her feistiness. She embraced life and was always able to meet life's challenges.
